On Demand – Understanding Candlesticks 12-21-09

We know there are far fewer successful traders than unsuccessful ones. When I began trading, I was dreadfully unsuccessful, and I do believe – based on the feedback I often get from students of mine, we all suffered from the same disease; we were marketblind. Like being snowblind, our ability to see what is around us is almost completley eliminated by sensory overload. To blame? Our technical indicators, what we read on the stream, what someone we admire says, by all the dynamic movements in the market. Result? We miss the forest for the trees and make losing trades.

Candlesticks are the trees in the forest, and they are often superior indicators for future market direction. If you know and use candlesticks and utilize them well, this video is not for you, but for the inexperienced trader, or the trader that does not notice the trees, this below should give you a leg up.
