Ernest Shackelton and a example of endurance

I was pondering about what to write when the topic of endurance came to mind, as this business tends to beat you with a hammer even when you are making gains: time consuming and filled with deliberate moves and painstaking attention, there is little that can take more out of you physically and emotionally like trading.
That being the ground work, and me being a fan of extreme weather, ice and all things icy, Ernest Shackelton came to mind. For those who are not familiar, Ernest Shackelton was a fearless explorer who endeavored to make an Antarctic crossing in the first decade of the 20th century. It is called “The Voyage of Endurance” and this two year expedition certainly was that. For the next three posts, I’ll be discussing Ernest, his will, his courage, his leadership, and his pure desire to never give up. Through his experiences and actions, he shows us what it means to be extraordinary; and by being extraordinary, he made others around him that way as well. Stay tuned, as we examine the mind and the man: Ernest Shackelton, and use his example to make us more excellent at what we do and how we define ourselves through action.
